REFLECTION

Overall this project has been difficult. Mainly, the pure time it took to form each letter, and the physical effort that it took. As well as that, in the end, the letters to create text were not a huge aspect of my final zine outcome. The walks helped me feel more connected with south east london, discovering new areas that I had not roamed before. Through these long walks, i was able to feel a strong identity to my space. I am pleased with the style of my zine, and the grungy personal feel. I experimented with digital collage and playing around with colour and layers - this went well. I like how the work is distinctly personal, yet broadly relatable regarding personal sentiments of living in an urban environment. I am pleased with the outcome and enjoyed learning how to make a zine.
